Graduate Program

| How to apply

Our Graduate Program is a highly-regarded introduction to a career in the defence industry.

The two-year program exposes graduates to many disciplines within our business, and enables you to work closely with senior staff from a variety of different backgrounds and fields.  Visit here for information on our Undergraduate Program.

Why ASC?

Our structured Graduate Program offers an ideal beginning to your career.  We offer a competitive base salary with an additional performance-based bonus scheme and salary sacrifice options.

Other benefits include a Professional Development Program, group and individual training, mentoring and a dedicated Graduate Coordinator to provide ongoing support and assist in the growth of your career.

Your development

Our graduates are based at our Osborne facility and are rotated across various departments to gain a full understanding of the business.  A three to four month placement in Western Australia (with all associated costs met by us) is included in our graduate rotation, while an optional placement with the Air Warfare Destroyer Program is a new addition to the program from 2008 onwards.

We recognise the value young professionals bring to our organisation with every effort made to assist our graduates to grow and develop.

Graduates are given meaningful and challenging work, and a well-structured mentoring program caters for the development of technical skills and assists in adapting to life within the company.

Formal review processes are in place to ensure that graduates receive ongoing feedback throughout the program.  Development and training needs are regularly reviewed, with graduate career path options explored and discussed in detail.
