More than one thousand people have attended ASC's two Careers Nights in July 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom in Adelaide.
Demand for the first night, held on Thursday 3 July, was so strong that a second was held on Thursday, 10 July.
Those attending were able to learn more about the upcoming opportunities available in our two major programs: as shipbuilder for the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyer Program, and providing upgrades and maintenance for the Collins Class submarines under a 25-year Through-Life Support contract.
In particular, opportunities exist in the following disciplines:
- Engineering
- Planning and Scheduling
- Procurement/Supply Chain
- Program and Project Management
- Production
- And many others
The Careers Nights gave people a chance to hear from ASC Shipbuilding Chief Executive Officer John Gallacher, as well as talk one-on-one with key representatives from all disciplines at ASC.
