Trades and Apprenticeships

Trade work with us is not average trade work – it is unique and challenging.

Our tradespeople work on some of the most sophisticated defence vessels in Australia: the Collins Class submarines and the Hobart Class air warfare destroyers.

Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Apprenticeships and traineeships are coordinated internally through our Human Resources and Training Departments.

Apprentices are provided with first class supervision in electrical, fabrication and mechanical trades. Opportunities to maximise your development on the program exist through comprehensive mentoring, supervision and training, while working on some of Australia’s largest defence projects.

Eligibility requirement

All applicants must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
