SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Gary Swarbrick wanted to take his engineering career in a fresh new direction – and he’s glad he made the decision to join us.

Gary was working with BAE Systems in Barrow when he sought a position with us as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, working mainly on the Collins Class submarines' compressed air and hydraulic systems and special forces' upgrades.

He lives in Adelaide’s CBD with his partner and has a 30-minute drive to work.

“Barrow’s not a very big place compared to Adelaide and we wanted to come to Australia to live in a big city,” said Gary.

“I have found the people at ASC to be more relaxed, but also very good at their jobs. They’re always happy to help you if you’ve got questions or problems.”
