MECHANICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Paul Plant has no regrets about moving to Australia to work with us.

Paul’s career began in the United Kingdom, where he worked for BAE Systems designing submarines and surface ships for the Royal Navy.

“Moving abroad was something I’d always considered and when ASC advertised in my local paper, it was time to act on that thought,” said Paul.

And despite never having been to Australia before, he decided to make the most of the opportunity and join us as a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer in May 2006.  Paul now works on design issues associated with mechanical systems onboard the Collins Class submarines.

“Moving is never easy but ASC made the whole process simple and assisted my partner Lisa and I all the way to Australia, and to our new house,” said Paul.

“We’re living in North Adelaide, which is just north of the City Centre across the Torrens River.

“ASC a great company and everyone makes you welcome.  The Social Club is really good and the people here are great which makes settling in just that bit easier."
