Jodie Miller
PRINCIPAL WORKSCOPE PLANNER

Jodie Miller is right in the middle of submarine action at ASC.

She joined us as a fitter and turner in 1992, where she worked on set-to-work activities associated with various mechanical systems on the Collins Class submarines, including weapons and mast hydraulics.

In 1998 she became a leading hand, providing a link between her group’s foreman and the workers, and also acting as foreman when required.

Her career took off in a different direction in 2004, when she joined our Planning department.  As a principal workscope planner, she builds the total workscope package of maintenance tasks to be conducted during a full cycle docking of a submarine.
“It was time for me to do something different and one of the good things about ASC is that these opportunities come up without having to leave the company,” said Jodie.

“In Planning we get to see the big picture about what’s going on with the submarines - and I’m really enjoying it.”
