Steve Ward
TECHNICAL OFFICER

Steve Ward has made the most of the opportunities available to him since commencing his career with us in 1992.

Originally recruited as an operator, Steve continued to enhance his skills and knowledge, and has since risen through the ranks to become a technical officer in ASC's Engineering Support department.

Engineering Support is the interface between our Production and Design and Engineering departments.

“I started out on the shop floor and completed my mechanical apprenticeship in 1998 – the knowledge I gained from doing that helps me perform in my current job,” said Steve.

“Having had the hands-on experience with the submarines, I often have a pretty good idea about what’s actually happening onboard, so any problems can be identified and addressed a lot easier."
