Marisa Gentilcore’s business background is proving invaluable for the start of one of Australia’s biggest ever defence projects.

With 10 years of project management experience in the defence and international development industries, Marisa joined us in 2006 as a Project Manager on the A$8 billion Air Warfare Destroyer Program.  She has been involved in core project management activities for the Program’s start-up phase, including estimating, reporting and risk management.

Now, in her current role of Fabrication Subcontracts Manager, she is responsible for approximately A$50 million in outsourced fabrication and services over the next seven years.

“There is such a breadth and depth of experience here that I can’t wait to learn more and contribute to the success of this program,” Marisa said.

It promises to be a busy 2008 for Marisa: she will further expand her professional horizons by taking part in our Leadership Development Program, and is also leading the South Australian effort to promote Women in Project Management through the Australian Institute of Project Management.
