Working at ASC

Tanya Pimblett started her career as an event manager, she then went on to work in Industry Development – and now she manages millions of dollars worth of shipbuilding subcontracts instead.

She joined us in November 2006 and has worked on various contractual, documentation and start-up activities associated with our role as shipbuilder in the Air Warfare Destroyer project.

 

Tanya was posted to the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance Resident Team in Spain as a Subcontracts Specialist where she led negotiations and supported the development of subcontracts on behalf of ASC; where she spent almost three years. She has since returned to Adelaide.

In her current position as Supply Chain Development Project Manager, she is leading the development of a Supply Chain, on behalf of ASC, to sustain the AWD mission and support systems and equipment once the AWDs are in service.

“My role has allowed me to travel all over Europe to support progress and supplier meetings. I’ve had the opportunity to live overseas, experience a new culture and learn a new language,” Tanya said.

“The knowledge I gained from my position in Spain has allowed me to support the AWD project more successfully. It was an invaluable experience - one I am grateful for ASC providing.”
