Capability Partner

General Dynamics' subsidiary Electric Boat Corporation was engaged in 2002 as our capability partner in an effort to assist us in becoming the submarine 'designer' for the Collins Class submarines.

 

With more than a century of experience, Electric Boat has established standards of excellence in the design, construction and lifecycle support of submarines for the United States Navy.

 

Regarded as a premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines in the United States, Electric Boat is the lead designer of the Virginia Class submarine.  The company is responsible for the construction of the first 10 boats currently under contract in a co-production arrangement with Newport News.

 

Based in Groton, Connecticut, Electric Boat has become an integral partner to us by assisting in our transition from a builder of submarines to a provider of design enhancements, engineering, upgrade and maintenance services.
