ASC’s operations are regulated under both state and federal environmental legislation, and the company’s Environmental Management System is independently certified under the ISO14001:2015 standard. 

All employees have access to environmental obligations via an online compliance platform and can subscribe to receive legislative updates relevant to their areas of operation.

ASC’s key focus areas are:

• understanding and managing all operational environmental risks relevant to Multi-Class Sustainment and the SSN-AUKUS Build Program;

• proactive stakeholder engagement and collaboration with Australian Submarine Enterprise partners to maintain and enhance the Licence to Operate; and

• active management of material Sustainability themes, including climate risk and greenhouse gas emissions, through the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program.
